To Whom It May Concern,

 

It is with great interest that I am submitting my Curriculum Vitae for your IB Theatre position. In my most recent position at the American Community School of Abu Dhabi I have taught IB HL/SL Theatre and developed courses for grades 9-12 Performance & Technical Theatre. I now wish to move to a more vibrant community and Switzerland is where I would like to begin this new chapter of teaching.

 

Teaching Theatre to teenagers is the best job in the world. I believe Theatre has a place for everyone with skills that transfer to any future plan or career. I am able to facilitate a fun technology-rich hands-on experiences and provide opportunities for students to demonstrate, transfer, and apply their learning. I measure my success by whether learners feel empowered to make decisions in the best interest of the group and use their voice confidently onstage or off. 

 

Beyond the classroom I actively engage with colleagues, enjoy coaching and service.  I am collaborative, cooperative, and helpful within the school community. A strong background in education and leadership with American and international experiences and a diverse skill set are what I bring to any job, and I approach my work with open-mindedness and enthusiasm.
